PETROL, reworked by Allison in Colour Lab on 2026-09-04: the black moved from the ground to the bars, and a walnut brown put on the ground in its place.

What it does to the seams
Checked against all 14 fabric pairs weighted by how much seam length each actually shares in this quilt. No pair falls below 1.25 contrast; the closest is the walnut ground against the teal at 1.39, on 14.6% of seams, which reads as texture in that band. Nothing is lighter than the tan at 70 and four of the six fabrics are dark, so the quilt is a dark one — an October reading of PETROL, not a brightening of it.
